Lifestyle Management Program

At Dignity Health – Cancer Institute, a major goal of our oncology program is to change the approach to medicine and healthcare by bringing in a more comprehensive, integrative, compassionate and multi-dimensional approach to oncology care. This transformative approach offers care towards the whole person's health. Whole person health refers to helping individuals, families and communities by restoring their health through interconnected areas of mind, body and spirit, rather than just treating a disease. Our complementary health approach offerings include sound therapy, yoga nidra, gentle movement, guided meditation, nutrition, psychosocial counseling and much more.

Classes are open to all.

Medicine Treats. Humanity Heals.

Integrative Oncology for the Whole Person: A Multidimensional Approach to Cancer Care says, “Whole person health refers to helping individuals, families, and communities, by improving and restoring their health in multiple interconnected areas—mind, body, spirit —rather than just treating disease. Today, more than ever before, millions of people are seeking an approach to medicine and health care that is more comprehensive, more holistic and integrative, and more compassionate and sensitive to their needs as a whole person. This is particularly true for those dealing with cancer.”
