Makardhwaj (Mak) Shrivastava, MD, is a Medical Oncologist and Hematologist with Dignity Health – Cancer Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. He is triple board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine.  

As a medical oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Mak practices personalized medicine by formulating patient specific treatment plans that may entail use of chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, immunotherapy or a combination of these therapies. For women with breast cancer, his goal is to help patients achieve overall breast health.

Dr. Mak received his medical school degree from Seth G. S. Medical College and K.E.M Hospital in Mumbai, India. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Jacobi Medical Center, Bronx, NY and a fellowship in Hematology-Medical Oncology at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. He is a member of American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, European society of Medical Oncology and American College of Physicians.
