What to expect

Incoming residents typically fear new environments and new colleagues. That’s normal as any new person would expect when going somewhere new. Our East Valley residency programs take great pride in having a welcoming culture where residents can ask the questions they want, and feel safe and comfortable trying new things and bringing their fresh ideas to the table.

Welcoming your needs

We want to accommodate your needs to give you the best training we can offer. We also planned ahead and developed a program that meets some of the top needs an incoming resident will need.

  • A well structured and well thought out curriculum.
  • Research and scholarly activities.
  • Wellbeing and work life balance. We have bonus flexible Fridays!

Our culture

We guide ourselves through a culture of excellence, every day, every way.

EXCELLENCE, EVERY DAY, EVERY WAY is universal skills and standards of behavior every Dignity Health East Valley team member can and must apply for us to create and maintain a culture of Excellence. When we mindfully bring them into practice each day, they eventually become second nature and Excellence is experienced by everyone every single day.

From the moment any individual - a patient, family member, colleague, or a business partner - comes into contact with Dignity Health, we want them to experience our unique brand of humankindness, which means inspiring change in health care that leads to more empathy, listening, and respect - because we believe that humanity holds the power to heal.

Fostering a culture of Excellence EVERY DAY, EVERY WAY supports the very foundation of humankindness. These skills ensure that we are living our mission, striving toward our vision, and inspiring each person to build and be a part of something bigger than themselves. We expect these standards for behavior to always be at the forefront of all that  we do. EVERY DAY, EVERY WAY should  be felt in the way in which we manifest community with each other and how  we interact with our patients and the community.
