Learn about the benefits of minimally invasive surgery, including smaller incisions and faster recovery
We also are home to a team of esteemed heart surgeons who perform a variety of procedures to treat heart disease and restore normal functionality to the heart.
From the most simple surgery to the very complex, our caring nurses and staff will be with you every step of the way, whether you will be with us for inpatient surgery, or if you will go home for outpatient recovery.
If your surgeon schedules inpatient surgery, this means you will be recovering in the hospital overnight or for several nights following your procedure. Prior to your inpatient surgery, our surgery admission nurse will call you to obtain your medical history and provide additional information to help you prepare.
Outpatient surgery, or same day surgery, does not require an overnight hospital stay. Whether an operation can be done as outpatient surgery depends on the potential for complications before and after surgery. Your doctor or surgeon will also take into account your age, medical history and overall health.
Depending on the type of procedure, your Chandler Regional surgeon may have you undergo some basic surgery preparation.
When you arrive, you will check in with our Admitting Department. Please bring photo identification, your insurance card and means of payment. They will have a packet of information waiting for you based on information you and your doctor have provided us, as well as forms to sign. You will be given your identification bracelets at this time, and will be escorted to the surgery waiting room.
Surgery centers are designed for minor, short-stay surgery and offer patients an alternative to having a procedure done in a larger hospital environment. Dignity Health has a partnership with United Surgical Partners International (USPI) bringing you a range of outpatient surgery center options.
