Emergency Department Accreditations
Mercy Gilbert is a young hospital, but our achievements in such a short period of time are a testament to our dedicated staff and commitment to high-quality patient care. We have built an Emergency Department based on the needs of our friends and neighbors and are proud of the emergency department accreditations we have achieved.
Accredited Chest Pain Center
Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care
The Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care is an international organization working to eliminate heart disease as the number one cause of death. Mercy Gilbert's Accreditation as Chest Pain Center, is a result of the work we do to educate, screen and treat patients with heart attack symptoms.
Designated Cardiac Arrest Center
Arizona Department of Health Services
Receiving designation as Cardiac Arrest Center highlights Mercy Gilbert's ability to provide immediate access to a cardiac catheterization lab and interventional cardiologists around the clock, every day of the year. The emergency department team remains in close contact with emergency medical personnel, so we are prepared the second the ambulance brings a patient to our doors.
Primary Stroke Center
Joint Commission
Mercy Gilbert's certification as a Primary Stroke Center means we not only provide exceptional care but our treatment for stroke focuses on improving the long term outcomes for survivors.
Excellence in Emergency Medicine – Ranked Among the Top 5% in the Nation - 2012
HealthGrades
Recognizes the overall lowest risk-adjusted mortality for 12 different diagnosis of patients seen in our emergency department who are admitted to the hospital.
