Barrow to Host Concussion Prevention Experience at Super Bowl Central

As an official sponsor of the XLIX Super Bowl, St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center and its renowned Barrow Neurological Institute will be featured at Super Bowl Central, a 12-block fan hub located in downtown Phoenix.

The hospital will host the “Barrow Brain Ball Experience,” a fun family area that will attract children and parents to run a simulated football –type obstacle course and learn about preventing concussions at the same time. In addition, the event will include free helmet fittings, a photo stage area, a meet and greet with NFL alumni players and mascots, and concussion question and answer sessions with Dr. Javier Cardenas, director of Barrow’s Concussion and Brain Injury Center.

The Barrow Brain Ball Experience will be located only a few yards from Super Bowl Central’s main entertainment stage on 1st Avenue and Washington and will be open daily from Wednesday, Jan. 28 through Saturday, Jan. 31. Admission to Super Bowl Central is free.
