Consistent with St. Joseph's commitment to conducting research in the pursuit of health care advancements, the Family Medicine Program is actively engaged in research projects that promote health for our patients and improves health care for our community.
Family Medicine Research Initiatives Include:
- Founding and coordinating DesertNet, a state-wide primary care practice-based research network. DesertNet strives to facilitate collaborative research among primary care providers and researchers that will lead to improvement in patient health and quality of health care in Arizona
- Clinical trials testing new treatments for a variety of health conditions
- Other research that addresses innovative health care services, resident training, chronic disease management, and health care for diverse populations
