Smita Kapoor, MD
Smita Kapoor, MD, is a faculty physician in the department of Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Kapoor is caring, compassionate, personable and professional physician and believes in high quality patient care.
Dr. Kapoor provides adult primary care services at the Internal Medicine Health Center. Her clinical interests are in preventative care and women’s health. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, and is the co-founder and president of the Indian Community for Physician Women of Arizona (IC)PWR. She is fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.
Dr. Kapoor received her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College, India. She also has a Masters in Information Technology from Arizona State University. She completed her internship in internal medicine from Wellington Hospital, India, and her residency in internal medicine from Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. Prior to joining St. Joseph’s, she was an internal medicine specialist for Arizona Primary Care and Acacia Internal Medicine.
