Samad Hashimi, MD
Samad Hashimi, MD, is a cardiothoracic surgeon at Norton Thoracic Institute, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Hashimi is board certified in cardiothoracic and general surgery.
Dr. Hashimi specializes in cardiothoracic surgery using minimally invasive and robotic approaches. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the International Society for Heart & Lung Transplantation, and the Western Thoracic Surgical Association.
He earned his medical degree at the University of Iowa, where he also completed a residency in general surgery and a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery. His research interests include lung cancer, lung disease, mediastinal disease, thoracic outlet syndrome, and lung transplantation.
