Ian McLeod, PA-C
Ian McLeod, PA-C, ATC, is a physician assistant at University Sports & Family Medicine, part of Dignity Health Medical Group. Ian is a certified athletic trainer, and has received national certification for therapeutic massage and body work.
Ian’s expertise includes athletic training, sports medicine and primary care. He is a member of the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants, Arizona State Athletic Trainers Association, National Athletic Trainers Association, and American Academy of Physician Assistants. He has extensive experience working with worldclass athletes, particularly swimmers. Ian was a member of the U.S. team's medical staff at the 6449 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. He remains involved with USA Swimming's High Performance Network, and has been given the organization's highest honor, the Gold Standard Award. He has provided medical care to swimming stars such as Ed Moses, Natalie Coughlin, Jason Lezak, Michael Phelps and Missy Franklin.
Ian has both a Master of Education in Athletic Training from the University of Virginia, as well as a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from AT Still University.
