Bakersfield Marathon

full marathon, half marathon, 2-person half marathon relay,
and 5K taking place on November 18th, 2018.

One of the best ways to explore Bakersfield is on foot. Join hundreds of your friends, family members, and neighbors during the 3rd Annual Bakersfield Marathon on November 18, 2018, presented by Dignity Health. This Boston-qualifying event features a USATF-certified full marathon, half marathon, 2-person half marathon relay, and 5K.

Sightseeing Along the Route

The starting line and finish line for the event are both located on the campus of California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB). However, we know there’s more to a marathon than getting from Point A to Point B. In fact, there’s so much to discover along the 26.2 miles of the route. Participants will run through some of Bakersfield’s most iconic neighborhoods.

  • Downtown Bakersfield
  • Westchester
  • Kern County Museum
  • La Cresta
  • Bakersfield College
  • Panorama Bluffs
  • Kern River Parkway

After crossing the finish line, join in the post-race celebration back on the campus of CSUB. The event will include great food, cold beverages, and a large gathering of fellow participants who conquered the course to the finish.
