Health Care Counselor returns to practice in Calaveras County

SAN ANDREAS, CA (June 20, 2022) – Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) is pleased to share with the community that they have successfully recruited another Licensed Clinical Social Worker to their outpatient counseling services in Copperopolis.

Dean White, LCSW, ACM will be seeing patients at the MTMC Copperopolis Family Medical Center. Dean has a Masters of Social Work, from California State University San Jose, has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for almost twenty years, and additionally holds certificates in Medical Ethics, from Albany Medical College, Certificate in Palliative Care, from CSU Shiley Institute- and is a an Accredited Case Manager, NBCM.

Dean is very familiar with the foothills community. Prior to his work in Merced as the Manager for Care Coordination, Dean worked at MTMC as the Director of Care Coordination & Counseling Services for nine years. He began his Licensed Clinical Social Work career at UC Davis and then onto St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton.

“Dean is a dedicated professional who aligns with our organizational core values, stated Doug Archer, CEO and President of MTMC, “He initiated the First 5 educational program designed to deliver “Nurturing skills for Fathers” who are incarcerated at the Calaveras County Jail. Throughout his career Dean has been recognized for his commitment to serving others and implementing best practices for care.
