Meet Dr. Laura Camille Jones, MD - Internal Medicine - also an expert in kindness.

SAN ANDREAS, CA – October 11, 2024 – Internal medicine specialist Dr. Laura Camille Jones has joined the Mark Twain Medical Center Team. She is seeing patients at the James Dalton Medical Center in Angels Camp.

Dr. Jones received her Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine in 2019. Her Internal Medicine Residency was at Alameda Health System, Highland Hospital in Oakland and she is continuing a Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the University of California, Davis, Medical Center in Sacramento.

Before her focus on medicine, she graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology. She holds two Master of Science degrees – a MS in Plants and Soil Sciences from the University of Delaware and a MS in Environmental Earth System Science from Stanford University.

An emphasis on geriatric care

Dr. Jones is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has lectured on geriatric medicine in primary care; depression in older adults and palliative care in advanced heart failure.

With her background in plants and soil sciences it is no surprise that her hobbies center on cultivating Californian native plant communities – in addition to open water swimming and learning the Spanish language.
