High Risk Infant Follow Up Program
Our goal at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital is to identify developmental problems early and to provide resources to enhance your child’s growth and development.
The High Risk Infant Follow-Up was started by California Children’s Services to provide diagnostic services for children at risk for developmental delay.
Infants admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) are potentially at risk for delays in growth, speech, motor, sensory or cognitive development. Our High Risk Infant Follow-up Program was developed to monitor signs of problems or delays, and provide recommendations and referrals to assist your child in their development.
