Our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is specifically designed to meet the needs of critically ill infants, children, and teenagers.
Bakersfield Memorial’s PICU has the specialized equipment, monitoring devices, and medical and nursing staff required to provide intensive care for respiratory problems, cardiovascular health, neurological issues, diabetes and other endocrine diseases, renal (kidney) problems and blood disorders. We can also accommodate pediatric patients undergoing certain surgeries, including some neurosurgeries.
