Why Start Your Practice with Mercy Medical Center?
Mercy Medical Center Merced is a modern, Joint Commission-approved hospital in which a great variety of patients are seen. It has a very active emergency room and a large, up-to-date and busy 24-bed ICU/CCU/TCU. It is the major obstetrical hospital in the area.
There is a Level II NICU that is affiliated with Valley Children's Hospital. It has diagnostic facilities often found only in larger community hospitals such as a cardiac catheterization lab, CT scanner, and MRI. All plain films are digital. The entire hospital uses a PACS radiology viewer software, allowing physicians to view radiology studies from any hospital computer.
The new hospital was opened in 2010, which added significantly to its ability to deliver high-quality care. The Family Birth Center features LDRP rooms, the ICU has spacious rooms that are also monitored by AICU, our telemedicine partner. We anticipate that the hospital, along with California's Central Valley, will continue to grow and increase its census over the next several years.
