Mako offers two options for knee procedures: partial or total replacement. For partial replacements, one of the knee’s three compartments is replaced while the rest of the healthy tissue is left. The surgical procedure
During the procedure, your orthopedic surgeon will guide the Mako robotic arm to the surgical site based on your pre-operative plan. The system allows the surgeon to adjust the plan as needed. As the bone is prepared for the implant, the Mako system guides the surgeon and helps prevent them from moving outside the boundaries outlined in your plan—allowing for more accurate implant placement and alignment.
