Womens Imaging

The radiology team at St. Joseph's provides expert care in diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, PET/CT, MRI, CT, digital mammography and diagnostic radiology .

  • ACR Breast Imaging Center of Excellence—includes accreditation in mammography, breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy and breast MRI.
  • Affiliated with the Cancer Center’s Breast Cancer Center of Excellence—overseeing all phases of breast cancer— from imaging to diagnosis, through treatment, and follow up.
  • Perform approximately 10,000 mammograms per year.
  • Offer Bone Densitometry, 3D Tomography, mammography, Ultrasound (biopsy and diagnostic), and Mammography (screening and diagnostic).
  • Dedicated Women's Breast Imaging Center.

Interventional Radiology

At St. Joseph’s Medical Center, our advanced diagnostic imaging services offer non-invasive methods to diagnose your illness or injury. We also have the capability to perform more advanced imaging studies or procedures, including:

  • Venous Access (Peripheral Inserted Lines; Tunneled and Temporary; Implantable Devices; Chemotherapy; Dialysis)
  • TIPSS Transjugular Intrahepatic Porto-Systematic Shunt Procedure (for treatment of ascites and gastrointestinal tract bleeding)
  • Embolizations (Uterine) Fibroid Embolization; Varicocele (testicular & ovarian vein; treatment of Pelvic Congestion; Chemotherapy treatment)

Today, with minimally invasive techniques, Interventional Radiologists can treat many conditions that once required surgery. Interventional Radiology treatments offer less risk, less pain, and less recovery time compared to open surgery.

Interventional Oncology

  • Conditions: Liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma), liver metastases (colon or rectum, neuroendocrine, breast, other), kidney cancer, lung cancer, adrenal tumors
