Know the symptoms of heart attack
Heart attacks are common—approximately every 40 seconds, someone in the U.S. has one. Men usually experience heart attacks around age 65, while women are more likely to have one around age 72. Why is there such an age difference? Some scientists believe it's because women receive special protection from naturally occurring estrogen in their bodies.
But know this: Even if women get heart attacks later, theirs can be more serious, and some women might even have a second heart attack not long after the first.
