Generous gift kicks off campaign to raise funds for advanced imaging technology and private patient rooms.

ARROYO GRANDE, August 8, 2024 – Central Coast Inpatient Consultants, Inc., a group of local hospitalist physicians, made a significant gift to Arroyo Grande Community Hospital (AGCH) Foundation. This gift helps to kick off the hospital’s five-year, $7.5 million Excellence Campaign.  Funds raised during this campaign will provide 3D Mammography and Biopsy Technology, an all-inclusive Radiology-Fluoroscopy Imaging Suite and Portable Digital X-Ray Machine – both of which will serve the majority of patients who come through the hospital doors, a new MRI to be housed in a dedicated space within the hospital, and (15) private patient rooms.

In recognition of Central Coast Inpatient Consultants, Inc.’s gift, the medical-surgical floor entryway has been named in the group’s honor.  A plaque was presented and installed on July 31, 2024.

Central Coast Inpatient Consultants, Inc., employs the physicians who staff the medical-surgical floor and acute rehabilitation unit of the hospital.  “We are proud to support this cause, given our constant work in the health care field.  It’s an honor to contribute not only to daily hospital operations but also to the project’s development,” said Dr. Asad Shah, President of Central Coast Inpatient Consultants, Inc.

AGCH is a 67-bed hospital with a 20-bed acute rehabilitation unit that has been offering health care services to Central Coast residents for more than 50 years. The full-service medical facility, located in the heart of San Luis Obispo County, is recognized for excellence in acute rehabilitation, orthopedics, emergency care, and cancer care.
