Marian Regional Medical Center Foundation Announces Appointment of New Board Members
SANTA MARIA, CA - October 8, 2024 – The Marian Regional Medical Center Foundation proudly announces the appointment of three new, highly-distinguished individuals to join its Board of Directors. The Marian Foundation supports the health care programs at the hospital and helps enhance patient care through fundraising, raising awareness, and fostering community partnerships year-round.
Joining the Marian Foundation Board of Directors are:
Gregory Beebe – Greg Beebe, Chief Executive Officer and President of Lee Beebe Construction, Inc., brings years of experience in construction and general contracting. Greg was the longest serving Chair for the Santa Maria Police Council for the 15 years of its existence and maintained the title of highest fundraiser in its history. Greg has been a member of the Marian Foundation Board of Directors in the past serving two 3-year terms. His experience and expertise in fundraising acumen will be pivotal in advancing Marian’s mission of enhancing patient care, but his interest in our success is personal as well. Greg’s mother worked at Marian for 37 years as a Registered Nurse and Night Supervisor, so his commitment to volunteer and give back is also due to the deep impact our hospital has had on his family.
Terri Leifeste – Terri Leifeste, Vice President and Group Publisher at Santa Maria California News Media, Inc., brings extensive knowledge in news media, marketing, and business budgeting, with a career focused on publishing. She has served on the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors of the Northern Santa Barbara County Economic Forecast Project, and the Board of Directors of the Northern Santa Barbara County United Way. Terri’s dedication to community engagement aligns seamlessly with Marian’s commitment to advancing cancer care treatments in the Santa Maria Valley through collaborations like the special edition Santa Maria Times newspaper for Day of Hope.
Anna Murphy – Anna Murphy’s career in enology, viticulture, and hospitality spans over a decade, with Presqu’ile Winery in Santa Maria. Anna works closely alongside winemakers at every stage of the winemaking process and helps lead the overall direction of the winery alongside her family. Prior to her leadership role at Presqu’ile Winery, Anna worked at Hendrix College in the International Programs Department where she worked closely with the college’s Rwandan Scholarship Program. She has demonstrated leadership as a Board of Directors member for the Hendrix-Murphy Foundation, gaining valuable experience in nonprofit organizations and fundraising.
The Marian Foundation is also announcing a new slate of Officers to the Board of Directors for the Fiscal Year 2025. The new Officers serving through June 2025 include:
- Chair – Terry Dworaczyk, MS, CFP, CKA, CLTC
- Vice Chair – Silvia H. Sun, Esq.
- Secretary/Treasurer – Aaron Hanke
- Immediate Past Chair – Dhagash Joshi, MD
“Our organization is both excited and honored to welcome three new and exceptional community members to the Marian Foundation Board of Directors,” states Jessa Brooks, Vice President of Philanthropy, Marian Regional Medical Center. “The three newly appointed board members recently joined a dedicated board of directors who continue to dedicate their time and generosity to supporting and advancing Marian Regional Medical Center’s programs and services.”
