The Acute Rehabilitation Center has team with Bioness to provide innovative technologies that help our patients regain mobility and independence.

Bioness solutions include functional electrical stimulation (FES) systems, robotic systems and software based therapy programs providing functional and therapeutic benefits for individuals affected by central nervous system disorders and orthopedic injuries. 

The Arroyo Grande Acute Rehabilitation Center introduces Bioness Integrated Therapy System (BITS) to their patients. As a leader in acute rehab services, BITS provides patients with unique therapies that can be individualized to their specific needs. BITS is a therapy tool that can be used with patients who are experiencing: 

• Visual field loss, visual-spatial neglect, and visual-vestibular integration problems
• Rhythmicity, problem solving and cognitive challenges  

The H200 Wireless Hand Rehabilitation System offers patients the freedom and convenience of a wireless operation. This state-of-the-art system helps patients regain the skills for reaching, grasping, opening and closing the hand. The H200 Wireless Hand Rehabilitation System helps patients by:

• Improving ability to perform activities of daily living
• Reducing muscle spasms
• Improving voluntary movement of the hand and wrist
• Reeducating muscles over time
