Coastal Cardiology Joins Dignity Health Pacific Central Coast Health Centers in Historic Partnership

Posted in:

San Luis Obispo, CA – October 14, 2024 Dignity Health Pacific Central Coast Health Centers (PHC) announces a historic partnership with Coastal Cardiology,  a leading provider of cardiovascular care in the San Luis Obispo County community for the past 40 years. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in the delivery of cardiac and vascular care in our community, creating a partnership with a preeminent health care delivery system and the largest single specialty cardiovascular medicine group on the Central Coast.  Patients can expect enhanced access to a wider range of high-quality cardiovascular services across San Luis Obispo County.

“Coastal Cardiology and their team of clinicians have been leaders in cardiovascular quality and innovation in our community,” said Dr. Scott Robertson, President and CEO of Pacific Central Coast Health Centers. “By working together, we can leverage our collective expertise and resources to ensure the continued health and well-being of our patients, as well as lay the groundwork for future cardiovascular services in San Luis Obispo County.”

“From our patients’ perspective, very little will change in their clinical interactions and experiences. The physicians, advanced care providers, staff and office locations will largely remain the same,” said Dr. Robert Doria, Cardiologist at Coastal Cardiology. “Our priorities as physicians will remain unchanged: to provide high quality health care and enhance our patients’ quality of life and health outcomes. We are enthusiastic about this evolution in our practice and as we confidently embark with this new relationship.”

Effective November 8, 2024, Coastal Cardiology's four locations in San Luis Obispo, Templeton and Arroyo Grande will become part of Dignity Health Pacific Central Coast Health Centers (PHC), strengthening the organization's commitment to providing comprehensive health care services.
