French Hospital Recognized for Performance and Exceeding Expectations by Press Ganey
The HCAHPS survey is a formal public reporting initiative that rates patient experience regarding their inpatient stay. Press Ganey recognizes facilities with the highest top box rating for each HCAHPS composite, in each bed size category. All hospitals that have administered the HCAHPS survey for 12 consecutive months of the prior year are eligible for recognition.
The ratings are shared with the public and enable patients and their families to be educated on a hospital's reputation and standing within the community it serves.
“We are exceptionally honored to be awarded with Best Performer and Exceeding Expectations by Press Ganey,” says Alan Iftiniuk, President & CEO, French Hospital Medical Center. “These awards were generated by our patients through surveys they complete after they have received care at our hospital, which speaks to our commitment to provide the highest level of care to our community.”
The Press Ganey patient experience survey, which is completed by participating inpatients, combines the required HCAHPS questions with scientifically-developed, patient-centered questions to provide the most comprehensive view of the overall patient experience. While the HCAHPS survey measures patient experience, additional Press Ganey questions reveal important qualitative details such as how well a service was provided, enabling for a more balanced perspective of patient care for the public.
