French Hospital to Offer Free Diabetic Education Classes
This series of classes is designed for those with diabetes, and family members and caregivers, and will cover a variety of topics. The objective of the class is to empower patients to better manage this disease. The education class series will be held on the fourth Monday of each month. Upcoming classes are scheduled for Monday, October 24, and Monday, November 28, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Urology Classroom in the Copeland Health Education Pavilion located on the FHMC Campus at 1911 Johnson Avenue, San Luis Obispo.
These community classes will be led by Angela Fissell, MS, RD Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and are free of charge and open to the public. Participants should plan to attend the ongoing sessions and will receive follow-up support and education upon request. Individual support is available per request. Discounted meal tickets will be available for attendees at the French Café and reservations are not required.
