Acute Care Nursery

French Hospital Medical Center offers advanced neonatal care for the tiniest of patients at the Stollmeyer Family Birthing Center. The center’s Acute Care Nursery offers bedside neonatal nursing staff, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, and an onsite neonatal resuscitation team to stabilize babies born near term.

Our Approach to Infant Feeding Care

One of the most important choices a new parent makes is how to feed their newborn. At French Hospital Medical Center, our physicians, nurses and breastfeeding support specialists are here to help you make the best choice for you and your family.

Our approach to infant feeding is guided by compassion, research, real-world experiences and the infant's and family's unique needs. It’s designed to help all families thrive, supporting both breastfeeding families and those who make an informed choice not to breastfeed.

Safe Sleep

Sudden unexpected infant death (SUID) describes the sudden and unexpected death of a baby less than 1 year old. These deaths often happen during sleep or in the baby’s sleep area. Though sleep-related deaths are rare, they are the leading cause of death in infants in the first year of life.

Maternal Emotional Wellness

Emotional health is as important as physical health, especially for new moms. Your baby needs a healthy mom in order to thrive.
