Newborn boy makes his debut just minutes after the start of the New Year

SANTA MARIA, CA – January 1, 2018 – Angelo Xavier Lenetti arrived just in time to become the first baby born in Santa Barbara County in 2018 at Marian Regional Medical Center (MRMC). Coming into the world at 12:06 a.m., the bundle of joy weighed in at just seven pounds, seven ounces, and measured 193/4 inches long.

Angelos’s mother, Love Lenetti, and father Devin Lenetti, are overjoyed about their unexpected New Year’s arrival. Angelo is the first baby for each of the proud parents, who joked just days ago about the possibility of having the first baby of the year. Mom and baby are healthy and doing well.

To celebrate and welcome this bundle of joy, MRMC staff presented mom, dad and baby with a beautiful gift basket filled with goodies and essentials for the sweet bundle of joy.

“This is a new experience for me and my husband,” says new mom Love. “We are very excited about his arrival.”

The Maternal and Newborn Center at MRMC offers a loving start for every baby and loving care for every mom. Our private labor & delivery, and recovery suites are equipped with advanced equipment to ensure the safety of the mother and baby. Additionally, our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides highly specialized, family centered care for newborns that require extra attention.
