St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital Hosts Momentous Grand Opening Celebration for New State-of-the-Art Facility
CAMARILLO, CA, September 24, 2018 – Nearly 1,000 community members celebrated the much anticipated Grand Opening of St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital (SJPVH), a member of Dignity Health. At the fun-filled event the community enjoyed soccer performances, a giant operation game, cornhole, and many other fun activities. Individuals enjoyed complimentary food, a mini farmers’ market, and tours of the new 71,000 square foot facility.
“Today’s event was a commemoration of our remarkable new facility and allowed families in our community to celebrate with us,” said Darren W. Lee, President and CEO, St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital and St. John’s Regional Medical Center. “This project was initiated to better serve our community. Seeing so many people come out to celebrate the significance of the next phase of our hospital was overwhelming. This new hospital will continue to serve our patients and their family members for years to come, and we couldn’t be more proud of the outcome.”
The new hospital features enhancements that will serve patients for generations to come. The beautiful new three-story facility boasts 50 spacious private patient rooms, new technologies that include a state-of-the-art catheterization laboratory, new surgery center with three advanced surgical operating suites and preoperative and post-anesthesia care units. In addition, a new serene and welcoming lobby space, a redesigned café, and new gift shop were added for additional patient and family comfort.
The hospital is expected to start receiving patients later this year. The improvements will complement the excellent health care services our community has come to expect and deserves.
