St. John’s Regional Medical Center to Host 1st Annual Neuroscience Symposium
OXNARD, CA – (August 27, 2019) – St. John’s Regional Medical Center (SJRMC), a Dignity Health hospital, is pleased to host the 1st Annual Neuroscience Symposium. Community members are invited to meet the region’s top stroke care specialists and neurosurgeons, and learn about advances in stroke care.
This neuroscience event will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. in the SJRMC Conference Center and Healing Garden, located on the lower level of the hospital campus (1600 N. Rose Ave., Oxnard).
Join us for an afternoon of stroke education and information about prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and reintegration into the community. This FREE event will feature:

St. John’s Stroke Center is a nationally recognized leader in the diagnosis and treatment of stroke and is accredited by The Joint Commission as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center.
The stroke program was recently honored with the 2019 Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Awards for the third consecutive year, and earned a spot on the Target: Stroke Elite Honor Roll by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. The comprehensive stroke program features: immediate access to stroke care neurologists within minutes of arrival in our emergency department, a dedicated team composed of neurosurgeons, neurointerventionalists, neurocritical care specialists, neuroradiologists, anesthesiologists, and stroke nurse practitioners, an acute stroke team, quick turnaround times for CT scans and lab results to improve timeliness of treatment, advanced imaging capabilities, and an Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Program.
