At Aerovista Health Center in San Luis Obispo our experienced team of Primary Care Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers offer diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses, the management of long term, acute and chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypothyroidism and heart disease. We offer guidance on preventative care, immunization, health maintenance with patient education and screening programs. Our office has a nurturing environment but virtual visits are available on request.

Steven Goodman, MD – Family Medicine
Dr. Steven Goodman graduated from Tulane university with a Bachelors of Science with a Major in Biology. He attended medical school at the University of Illinois in Chicago . Dr. Goodman did his internship and residency in Family Medicine at San Bernardino county hospital, following two years of working, outpatient medicine, traveling, fishing and scuba diving in Guam. He and his wife relocated to San Luis Obispo in 1988. He formed Cuesta Medical Group (CMG) in 1994. In 2015 CMG joined Dignity Health’s medical group Pacific Central Coast Health Centers. Dr. Goodman continues to practice full service Family Medicine, and also serves as the Vice President of Clinical Operations for Pacific Central Coast Health Centers.
Savitha Nukal, MD – Internal Medicine
Dr. Savitha Nukal is a highly skilled and compassionate physician with more than 20 years of experience in Internal Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Osmania University, India and completed her residency at The University of Maryland Medical Center Mid-Town Campus in Baltimore.
Dr. Nukal is known for her warm bedside manner and her ability to connect with her patients on a personal level. She takes the time to listen to her patients' concerns and works with them to develop personalized treatment plans that meet their individual needs. Dr. Nukal is board certified in Internal Medicine. She is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families in our community
Steven Barbere, NP
Steve Barbere is a board certified family nurse practitioner. He completed my Masters Degree at Southeast Missouri State University. Being a lifelong resident of the central coast he was extremely happy to return home. Prior to obtaining his Family Nurse Practitioner degree he worked at French Hospital in many capacities for many years. The familiarity of hospital staff, physicians and community agencies has enabled Steve to provide multidimensional care to his patients. He says he has had the good fortune to work with outstanding physicians who have been knowledgeable and supportive.
MariaCelis Capeling, NP
Mariacelis R. Capeling is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. She completed her undergraduate degree at Loma Linda University and finished her Masters of Science in Nursing with emphasis in Family Practice at California State University Long Beach. She is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She enjoys serving her community and has done various international medical missions in Asia and Central America. She believes in holistic care and strives to build a strong collaborative relationship with each patient. She quotes Henry Ford: “Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.”
