Our nurse navigators are highly skilled nurses who serve as a constant presence throughout your cancer treatment. They act as a liaison among caregivers and physicians and are specially trained to help you determine what screenings you need along with the different cancer treatment options you’ll find. They are an important source of both information and support that will help guide you through your care process. Nurse navigators are here for you at each of our Dignity Health Central Coast Hospitals. Our navigators and our entire team of oncology experts and support staff are here to support you through your journey.
Cancer screenings are tests that look for signs of cancer, sometimes before you have symptoms. The goal of cancer screenings is to find cancer early, in its most treatable stages. Some screenings can prevent cancer by finding precancerous changes.
Your doctor will help determine which cancer screenings might be right for you. Recommended screenings for women and recommended screenings for men can vary based on personal medical history, risks, age, and other factors.
We offer a variety of support programs for patients in all stages of their cancer journey and their families. Learn more about the opportunities we offer at:
