Dignity Health gohealth urgent care opens
Dignity Health-GoHealth Urgent Care, a joint-venture created to bring a new model of high quality, patient-focused urgent care centers to the Bay Area, today announced the opening of its first new center in the Castro located at 2288 Market Street.
To celebrate the occasion, Dignity Health-GoHealth Urgent Care will host a grand opening event and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, August 9th at 10 a.m. at the new Castro location.
“We are thrilled to open the doors of our first Bay Area urgent care center to the residents of the Castro and its surrounding neighborhoods,” said Todd Latz, CEO of GoHealth Urgent Care. “Since announcing our partnership with Dignity Health in February, we have looked forward to serving the community by offering an effortless experience in a comfortable, convenient and technology-forward setting. Patients can check in online or walk in to receive high quality care by Dignity Health providers. Our urgent care centers will put patient needs first.”
The Dignity Health-GoHealth Urgent Care Castro Center is equipped with the latest technology, including state-of-the-art laboratory and mobile x-ray equipment, to ensure the most accurate diagnosis and treatment of non-life threatening medical conditions. Through seamless integration with Dignity Health’s electronic medical record system, Dignity Health-GoHealth Urgent Care caregivers and patients will benefit from a unified medical record, enabling more consistent and informed care at an affordable cost. The Castro center is open 8am-8pm Monday-Friday, and 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday.
“We’re excited to open our first Dignity Health-GoHealth Urgent Care center in the Castro,” said Dr. Todd Strumwasser, senior vice president of operations for the San Francisco Bay Area. “At this location, and future Bay Area centers, Dignity Health clinicians will have the resources and tools they need to ensure that all urgent care patients are treated with the same level of high-quality, low cost care that we provide to all of the patients in our health system.”
The Dignity Health-GoHealth Urgent Care centers are managed by GoHealth. Clinical services are provided by the physicians and nurses of Dignity Health Medical Group – Saint Francis/St. Mary’s, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation.
