My purpose of providing good medical care lies in the well – being of children. I believe that each patient has basic needs, rights, privileges, and preferences which must be respected as long as they are within the realm of reason and will do no harm to the patient.

Before I went into medicine, I often found myself wanting to do better for people, for the world. I did a lot of soul-searching, but I kept coming back to medicine, and I chose pediatrics because I think pediatricians have a unique opportunity to help kids build a healthy foundation for a healthy life. One of my favorite appointments is with newborn babies and first time parents, because they have a lot of questions. As a pediatrician,I understand how important it is to walk them through what to expect and to reassure them that babies have many different things going on, and that usually it's just a variation on what's normal.

My goal is to give my patients the tools to live healthy and fulfilling lives. I am grateful for the opportunity to build relationships with my patients and their families and to encourage them as they navigate through various stages of development. Preventative medicine is a crucial component of medical care and I think there is no better place to start than in pediatrics. I hope to provide patients with a friendly and comforting environment whenever they come into the office.

Lactation consultant support

Helping make sure you and your baby get off to a great start is important. Sometimes that means having someone to answer your questions, help you to learn about breastfeeding, and how to use a breast pump, should you need it. Our lactation consultant can answer your questions regarding:

  • Breast pain and soreness
  • Milk supply
  • When to add solid food

We can offer support when you’re ready to go back to work. We understand that every woman is different. What works for one family might not work for you. But our lactation consultant can help.

Our lactation consultant:

Pediatric pre-visit questionnaires

Parents, you can conveniently fill out the "Bright Futures" pre-visit questionnaires prior to your child's visit.

Urgent care available to pediatric patients

For same-day, and after-hours treatment of non-emergency medical conditions, pediatrics patients can also visit our urgent care center. Conveniently located on 41st Avenue in Santa Cruz, our urgent care specialists treat a range of conditions such as flu, colds, cuts and fractures. Open seven days a week from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
