Special Presidents’ Day Safe Sitter Training Session

Teens: Invest your day out of school to learn important life skills

LAS VEGAS, February 15, 2022 –

What

Safe Sitter Essentials with CPR: Young people who are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting will feel more confident in their ability to care for younger children after completing this this six-hour course providing nurturing child care techniques and medical emergency management skills. 

Who

Teens, age 11 to 16 - The Safe Sitter® program has helped more than 600,000 teens across the country learn basic lifesaving and safety techniques.

Why

Students who graduate from a Safe Sitter® course receive a completion card that demonstrates they know how to use their skills in situations they encounter. 

Taught by a certified Safe Sitter instructor and a registered Nurse following American Heart Association standards for rescue skills and instruction in first aid techniques from the American Academy of Pediatrics. 

Students will learn basic first aid, infant and child choking rescue, and CPR. Students also receive instruction on how a child’s age affects how to care for them, how to prevent problem behavior, and how to run their own babysitting business. 

Students who complete a Safe Sitter® course gain confidence and learn how, why, and where injuries can happen so they can be prevented.
