Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican Welcomes Professional Football Kickers Daniel Carlson and A.J. Cole as Dignity Health Brand Ambassadors
No ifs, ands, or punts… Professional football stand-outs and southern Nevada’s favorite football-kicking duo kick-off promotional partnership
LAS VEGAS, August 24, 2023 – Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican is proud to announce the signing of Las Vegas’ favorite professional football kickers, Placekicker Daniel Carlson and Punter A.J. Cole to serve as Dignity Health Brand Ambassadors.
“We really split the uprights this year by teaming up with these two outstanding football professionals,” said Jon Van Boening, President of Dignity Health Nevada. “Each of these wonderful young men are top performers and leaders in their chosen specialties, just like the health care professionals on our team at St. Rose Dominican. Their gridiron achievements are truly inspiring and we are proud they’ve agreed to stand with us and represent Dignity Health in the southern Nevada community.”
Placekicker Daniel Carlson is an accomplished athlete whose achievements rank him among the top kickers in professional football. He is consistent, making 41 consecutive field goals without a single miss over the 2021 and 2022 seasons, the third longest streak in history. He can go the distance, last season successfully converting eleven field goal attempts to score from beyond the 50 yard line. And he performs under pressure, putting game-winning points on the board in five games of the 2022 season with field goals in the fourth quarter or in overtime. He is also the first-ever kicker to win four Player of the Week awards in a single season.
Not to be outdone, A.J. Cole is a two-time Pro Bowl Punter who was quick to impress when he took to the field his first year and quickly set rookie club records for punting average, net average, and punts downed inside the 20-yard line (2019: 46.0 yards/39.4 yards/33). His 2021 season-long average of 50 yards per punt on 64 punts earned him the spot as the nation’s top punter. His longest punt ever, a mere 74 yards.
“Good luck trying to ice these kickers,” added Mr. Van Boening. “But the most impressive thing about Daniel and A.J is their consistency. Which is something we know about and aspire to here in our hospitals. They play to win and to do that they know to take care of the football. We play to win by taking care of our neighbors and our community by delivering quality care, consistently and with compassion.”
Daniel Carlson and A.J. Cole will serve as Dignity Health Brand Ambassadors, appearing in various promotional campaigns throughout the year, starring in several video series on St. Rose Dominican Social Media Channels, and making appearances at hospital functions.
