St. Rose Wins 2013-2014 Consumer Choice Award
This award is given annually by the National Research Corporation to the hospital that consumers rank as best in overall quality, reputation, doctors and nurses. This prestigious award indicates that the Siena Campus has reached a level of service that is highly valued by consumers in its market. It also provides consumers with useful information when selecting a hospital as a place to receive care.
“We applaud the efforts of our medical staff and employees,” said Rod Davis, president and CEO of Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican and senior vice president of operations, Dignity Health Nevada. “They work, in partnership with our patients, visitors and community, to consistently and constantly improve the safety and quality of the care we provide.”
Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the National Research Corporation’s Market Insights Survey. The winner must be ranked #1 in at least three of four of those categories, and in the past few years, there was a multi-way tie in Las Vegas and no winner was named. The award is based on September 2012 – August 2013 data and this study surveys over 270,000 households in the contiguous 48 states and the District of Columbia. From the households surveyed, hospitals named by consumers are analyzed and ranked based on their Core Based Statistical Areas (CBSAs) as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau, with the winning facilities being ranked the highest.
