Medical Simulation Training
Our Education Center for St. Rose Dominican Hospitals resides at our original hospital site in Henderson, Rose de Lima. Within our Education Center we are proud to share that we now have the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust Medical Simulation Center.
The Simulation Center offers three patient rooms complete with high fidelity patient simulators which provide state of the art education for new hires, annual skills fairs, and mandatory regulatory education for staff. The Helmsley Charitable Trust Medical Simulation Center is a key educational component of our Graduate Medical Education program at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals as well as, training resident physicians in Internal Medicine to provide complex care to patients in a safe, controlled simulated environment.
Simulation is evidence-based, supported as being the best platform for clinical development as it is the most realistic for learners. This will serve as a safe environment where learners can explore and gain knowledge on best practices focusing on patient safety and excellent quality of care.
