Dignity Health – St. Rose Dominican continues to meet the community's health needs in a variety of ways based on a commitment to promote wholeness of body, mind and spirit in an atmosphere of collaboration.
St. Rose Dominican Community Programs
This past fiscal year (2022), that mission was prominent as St. Rose Dominican provided over $113 million in net community benefits, including the unpaid cost of Medicare.
In early 2023, Dignity Health – St. Rose Dominican, Nevada’s only faith-based, not-for-profit hospital system, recently awarded more than $350,000 in Community Health Improvement Grants to six southern Nevada non-profit collaborations. St. Rose has funded community programs for more than 30 years.
Dignity Health – St. Rose Dominican and its affiliate organizations are strong supporters of the community. A variety of community programs are available for Henderson and Las Vegas valley residents and visitors.
Diabetes Education & Management
The Dignity Health – St. Rose Dominican diabetes program team empowers, educates, and allows those with diabetes to independently self-manage the disease.
Engelstad Foundation R.E.D. Rose Program
"Responsible, Early Detection" of Breast Cancer
If you – or someone you know – have found a lump in your breast or chest area but do not have adequate insurance to have it checked, Dignity Health – St. Rose Dominican's "Engelstad Foundation R.E.D. Rose Program" may be able to help.
Healthier Living
St. Rose Dominican chronic disease self management program teaches individuals how to live with a chronic condition, such as arthritis, diabetes, heart or lung problems, cancer, and more.
Helping Hands of Henderson
Maintain your independence with Helping Hands. If you could avoid or postpone costly, long-term, out-of-home care – whether for yourself or a loved one – you would. Artie J. Cannon Helping Hands of Henderson, a community-based transportation and nutrition program, can help make this happen.
MAP: Medicare Assistance Program
The Medicare Assistance Program (MAP) encompasses programs formerly known as SMP, SHIP, and MIPPA, and is a state-based program that offers local one-on-one counseling to those with Medicare, their families, and caregivers.

Connecting You to Health Insurance Options
Are you uninsured? You may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period and incentives to help pay monthly premiums.
Open Enrollment begins November 1; however, life is full of changes and we can help keep you connected to health coverage if you experience a life change any other time of the year.
Certain Life Change Events, such as a job change or loss of coverage, may qualify you for a Special Enrollment Period. The Silver State Health Insurance Exchange (Exchange) is the state agency that operates the online health insurance marketplace called Nevada Health Link. The Exchange oversees and offers Qualified Health Insurance Plans to Nevada consumers through the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
Consumers who use the Exchange ultimately pay lower premiums. Over 80% of those who enroll in health insurance through Nevada Health Link qualify for federal assistance to help pay their monthly premiums.

The St. Rose Dominican physician referral phone line proudly works with over 1,300 dedicated physicians in the Las Vegas valley. Our representatives help make finding a St. Rose doctor simple and convenient.
WIC (Women, Infants, & Children) Program
The WIC Program provides healthy food, nutrition consultations, and breastfeeding support for pregnant women and children up to age 5. See if you are eligible.
