A Notice to our Visitors: All visitors are required to provide proof of a negative COVID test taken within the last 72 hours, or proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before visiting anyone in our care.

The health and safety of our patients, employees, and the community remains our top priority. In accordance with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) guidelines, Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is now allowing one visitor per patient per day.
Virtual visitation is encouraged, when possible. Patients can use the hospital’s free Wi-Fi and use personal devices to stay in touch with family and friends. Families may also contact patients through the hospital by calling (530) 926-6111. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, and we thank you for your understanding and support.
Mercy Mt. Shasta is allowing the following exceptions to the current visitor policy:

End-of-Life Care:
- 2 visitors at a time
- No symptoms
- Case-by-case basis

Laboring Mothers:
- 1 designated birth partner
- No symptoms

Pediatric Patients:
- 1 designated support person
- For prolonged hospitalization, 2 support persons may be designated
- 1 visitor at-a-time
- No symptoms

Patients with Physical, Intellectual, and/or Developmental Disabilities or Cognitive Impairments:
- 1 designated support person
- For prolonged hospitalization, 2 support persons may be designated
- 1 visitor at-a-time
- No symptoms
All visitors/support persons who meet the above criteria will be screened for symptoms upon arrival.

Please remember to:

Cover your mouth
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you sneeze.

Sleeve or elbow
If you don't have a tissue, use your upper sleeve or elbow, not your hands.

Wash your hands
Wash or use Hand Gel often. Wash with soap and warm water for a full 20 seconds.

Don't touch!
Don't touch your T-ZONE! Eyes, Nose and Mouth.

Maintain a safe distance from others.
