Dr. Bland became the Program Director of the Mercy Redding Family Practice Residency Program in 2004, having been faculty for 6 years prior to this appointment within this residency program. Prior to working for Mercy Redding, he worked in Okanagan, WA. Dr. Bland is a graduate of the University Of Washington School Of Medicine. His Bachelors of Science was completed at the University of Washington in Seattle. He accomplished two fellowships, the first with the National Institute for Program Director Development Fellowship in 2001, along with a Northern California Faculty Development Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco in 1999. His residency was completed through the Shasta-Cascade Family Practice Program here in Redding.
He is married with 3 grown boys, all raised in Redding. His personal interests include family, sports, hiking, skiing, reading, and movies.
