CommonSpirit Health National Nurse Residency Program (NNRP)
Nurse residency programs are the gold standard nation-wide to facilitate the transition from nursing student to competent nurse. Since 2011, Mercy Medical Center Redding has met this gold standard by offering new graduate nurses a transition-to-practice program. Starting in 2023, we are proud to offer our new graduate nurses a more comprehensive 12 month, best-in-class, innovative transition-to-practice residency program that meets ANCC accreditation standards.
Making Your Professional Goals Happen
At CommonSpirit Health, we believe it is vital to set our new graduate nurses up for success. Dedicated preceptors and mentors will be working with the new graduate nurse during their transition, utilizing evidence-based teaching techniques, simulation training, and virtual/in-person classroom support to ensure learner success.
This is an intense, focused program that will foster the development of critical thinking, evidence-based decision-making, stress management, and leadership skills. Our content is created to prepare the newly licensed graduate to deliver safe, effective, and quality patient care.
