Changes at Lassen Medical Clinic Benefit Community
RED BLUFF, CA - June 28, 2018 – As part of a just-completed final phase in a series of agreements with Dignity Health, Lassen Medical Clinics in Red Bluff and Cottonwood are now licensed as a department of St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. This means a closer continuum of care between this robust primary care practice, and the hospital, resulting in a closer connection to Dignity Health resources and culture. “Lassen Medical and St. Elizabeth have always been partners in healthcare for Tehama County, now we can more closely align in our healthcare strategy and combine our efforts to work toward stabilizing the ability to provide health care while continually improving the way we deliver care to our community,” offered Dr. Kimberli Frantz, Executive Director and President of Red Oaks Medical Group that provides clinic services to St. Elizabeth in the Lassen Clinic locations.
This licensing has involved all aspects of the clinic operations, including the clinical provider’s recent initiative to improving community health through their patient diabetes management program. In addition, the Lassen Clinic team has continually focused on national quality measures and focused efforts on meeting quality metrics as indicated by insurance providers in our area. The clinic has sustained its high level of quality results and the trend is expected to continue. Kristin Behrens, Senior Director of Clinics and Support Services said, “The focus of the Lassen Clinics has always been to provide the best possible care to our community. As a department of the hospital, Lassen can rely on the Dignity Health St. Elizabeth team to strengthen this effort and work toward sustaining five star delivery of care.”
“The move shows Dignity Health’s continuing commitment to the community by stabilizing the medical environment in Tehama County,” said Jordan Wright, President of Dignity Health St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. “This partnership will not only allow more providers to stay locally to treat the medical needs of our community, but should be a strong enticement to attract new providers.”
Lassen Medical Clinic in Red Bluff is open from 8:00-5:00 Monday through Friday. The Cottonwood Clinic is open from 7:30-5:00. There are also acute care walk-in clinics at both locations on weekdays, and weekends in Red Bluff.
