In my own wordsDr. Michael Wiechmann has been in practice in San Luis Obispo County since 1991 and joined Coastal Cardiology in 1995. His undergraduate degree was obtained at Purdue University and his M.D. from Indiana University in 1985. Internship and residency training were at the University of California at Irvine. Cardiovascular Fellowship was completed in 1991 at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. His medical interests include therapeutic coronary interventions, echocardiography and cardiac rehabilitation/risk factor modification. He enjoys basketball, hiking and gardening.
Dr. Wiechmann is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine.
