In my own words
Dr. Craig Udall is a podiatrist who is fellowship-trained in foot and ankle surgery. He cares for all types of foot and ankle pain, including arthritis pain, heel pain, sprains and fractures, flatfoot deformity, Achilles and other tendon injuries, bunions and hammer toes, ingrown toe nails, and any other problems that affect the feet. He has a special appreciation for pediatric/juvenile flatfoot deformities and has the skill set to reconstruct the arch for these young patients when necessary.
Dr. Udall grew up and went to high school in Mesa, Arizona. After spending 2 years as a volunteer missionary living in southern Chile, he earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University. His podiatry degree was obtained in southern California at Western University. He then completed a 3-year podiatry surgical residency at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
After residency, Dr. Udall continued his training with an additional year-long foot and ankle surgery fellowship in Atlanta with Dr. Craig Camasta, DPM, who is a nationally recognized podiatric foot and ankle surgeon, educator, and lecturer.
During his training years he participated in clinical research projects, and his original research won 3rd place at a national ACFAS conference, and an additional project won 1st place in Ohio.
Most importantly, he is a proud family man; a father of 3 girls, and happily married to his wonderful wife. After being away from the state for 8 years, he is excited to be back home and proud to be working for IMS.
Dr. Udall is kind and caring at heart, and treats his patients like he would a family member. He realizes that surgery isn't the first or only option, and that patients need to be involved in making decisions about their treatment. He also believes that good communication between doctors is vital to quality patient care.
