In my own wordsDr. Lanter is a board certified OB/GYN who offers high-quality, individualized care with compassion. Dr. Lanter believes that communication and collaboration with patients are the foundation for effective relationships. Through effective education, patients are empowered to partner in their care and achieve their health goals. Dr. Lanter received her medical degree from University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson and has more than 33 years of experience.
In her own words:
“The best thing about my medical practice is my relationship with my patients. Many have been under my care for as much as two decades and have followed me through many practice setting changes throughout that time. My relationship with my patients is what keeps me inspired, and makes the stress, fatigue, and long hours worthwhile.
I completed my residency at the University of Utah. I have three children, My first two were 5 and 3 when I started medical school. I graduated ranked 8th in my class and matched my first choice residency. My third child was born at the end of my second year of residency.
I am a veteran of the US Air Force and served as a Crew Chief on A-7D Corsair fighter jets. I was also the non-commissioned officer in charge (NCOIC) of mobility and training for my section of the 23rd Tactical Fighter Wing Flying Tigers during the Iranian crisis. I have a Basic Training Honor Graduate Ribbon, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Longevity Award Ribbon.
I am a long distance runner and have completed 12 marathons and at least 50 half marathons. I will be participating in my first ultra marathon this year. I trained and became a private pilot during COVID and am now working on achieving an instrument rating. I fly a 1992 Mooney M20J out of Camarillo airport. I am a member of the Ventura County 99's Women Pilot Association founded by Amelia Earhardt. I am planning for and training to hike to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro in January 2025. I feel that life is to be lived; and if not now, then when?"
