In my own wordsWhy Did You Become a Medical Provider? I became a physician to help patients find ways to feel well so they continue doing the things that bring them joy.
Personal Interests and Hobbies: spending time at the beach, hiking, cycling, traveling, going to concerts, spending time with friends and family.
Given that many rheumatological diseases are complex with a variety of new treatment options, I feel it is important to educate patients on their disease and incorporate shared decision making to help find the best individualized treatment plan. I think by listening to my patients needs and concerns, a meaningful relationship is built over time, and allows compassionate, high-quality care for each patient.
