Our Investigators Are Innovators
Our investigators and research teams are the foundation of our clinical research enterprise. The Dignity Health Research Institute is a vested participant in the processes of research and innovation designed to have a significant impact on health outcomes across the many communities DHRI serves. Our 1000+ active clinical trials and research protocols represents a significant opportunity to our physicians and health sciences professionals that wish to engage in clinical trials and pilot innovations in care delivery. We celebrate our research communities, network with peers, and collaborate on shaping Dignity Health’s research mission and vision across the enterprise.

How Can I Become An Investigator At DHRI?
Dignity Health requires that principal investigators for biomedical, data and other research endeavors are either active members of a Dignity Health medical staff or a Dignity Health employee qualified to act in such a role. Medical residents at Dignity Health teaching facilities may act as principal investigators provided they have an appropriate physician mentor who is also an active member of the medical staff at the Dignity Health teaching facility. Health sciences students may act as principal investigators provided they are a current Dignity Health employee and have an appropriate Dignity Health department director and/or Dignity Health physician mentor overseeing their research project.
