Alex G. Spanos Heart & Vascular Center Media Coverage

Dignity Health executives, Mercy General staff, Mercy Foundation donors, local elected officials and members of the community celebrated the opening of the Alex G. Spanos Heart & Vascular Center at various events during the week of April 7.

The 123,000-square-foot facility will offer advanced technology, 71 patient friendly rooms, a 20-bed cardiac surgery intensive care unit and more. It will also offer an expanded and integrated care model for Mercy General Hospital’s team of cardiovascular care providers that includes a full range of cardiac services.

On April 8, Mercy General providers and staff attended the Blessing of the Hands ceremonies in the new chapel.
