New expansion to house a host of specialty services, outpatient surgery center and more.
SACRAMENTO (September 10, 2024) – Dignity Health announced today that Perkins&Will and NexCore have been selected as the architect and developer for the new Advanced Ambulatory Care Center (AACC) at Folsom Ranch, just south of Highway 50. The AACC will expand Dignity Health’s footprint and offer a range of services to meet the growing needs of Folsom and surrounding communities.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with the incredibly talented teams at Perkins&Will and NexCore for the Advanced Ambulatory Care Center ,” said Lisa Hausmann, RN, President and CEO of Mercy Hospital of Folsom. “This expansion enables us to broaden our footprint and service offerings to ensure the Folsom community and surrounding area continue to have access to high-quality health care.”

Anticipated to open in 2027, the project is designed to be highly reflective of the current and future needs of the community as the city and surrounding areas continue expanding. It will house a host of specialty services, including an outpatient surgery center, lab and will integrate technologies such as telehealth and home monitoring as part of its construction plans. The AACC is phase 1 of an integrated medical campus at Folsom Ranch that could eventually include an acute care hospital and a medical office building depending on population growth and demand.
The AACC marks a significant milestone as Mercy Hospital of Folsom also celebrates a 35-year legacy of service to the Folsom community in 2024.
