Odds of Stroke Increasing in Young People
The Sacramento Bee’s Anita Creamer recently did a story on the rise of stroke among young people. Dr. Lucian Maidan (pictured left), Dignity Health’s regional director of neurovascular medicine, was interviewed for the story and commented that a 35-year-old can have the same risk factors as a 75-year-old based on an unhealthy lifestyle that includes diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity and a lack of exercise.
Read the story in the January 5, 2015 issue of The Sacramento Bee.
